CAMK1 delta Protein, Human (sf9, GST) is the recombinant human-derived CAMK1 delta, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with GST labeled tag.

CAMK1 delta is a calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase that functions within the calcium-triggered CaMKK-CaMK1 signaling cascade. Upon calcium influx, it activates CREB-dependent gene transcription, regulates calcium-mediated granulocyte function and respiratory burst, and promotes basal dendritic growth of hippocampal neurons. In neutrophil cells, it is required for cytokine-induced proliferative responses and activation of the respiratory burst. CAMK1 delta also activates the transcription factor CREB1 in hippocampal neuron nuclei and may play a role in apoptosis of erythroleukemia cells. In vitro, it phosphorylates the transcription factor CREM isoform Beta.
