Patatin-like phospholipase domain-containing protein 3 (PNPLA3) is a triacylglycerol lipase that mediates triacylglycerol hydrolysis in adipocytes. It is involved in the triacylglycerol hydrolysis in adipocytes and may play a role in energy metabolism.
