In Vitro

Guidelines (The following are our recommended protocols. This protocol is for reference only and should be modified according to your specific needs.)
1. The general tissue fixation time should be controlled at 4-12 hours. For large specimens, the fixation time should be appropriately extended.
2. The cell fixation time is generally controlled at 10-15 minutes.

Note:
1. Tissue and Cell Fixative (4% Paraformaldehyde, PFA) is irritating and corrosive. Handle in a well-ventilated area and avoid contact and inhalation.
2. Not suitable for in vivo perfusion fixation of animals.
3. Avoid excessively prolonged fixation time, as this may cause excessive cross-linking of biomolecules.
4. The volume ratio of fixative to tissue block should be greater than 10:1 to ensure the sample is completely submerged in the fixative.

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
