Antitussive and antiasthmatic method is a type of treatment strategy in traditional Chinese medicine, mainly used to alleviate symptoms such as coughing and asthma. These symptoms may be caused by various factors, such as: Bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthmatic bronchitis, cough-induced asthma, and others. Based on existing research in traditional Chinese medicine, many types of Chinese medicinal herbs showed antitussive and antiasthmatic effects. For example: Ardisiae Japonicae Herba, Ginkgo Semen, Amygdalus Communis Vas, Farfarae Flos, Viticis Cannabifoliae Fructus, Eriobotryae Folium etc. Therefore, the active ingredients derived from these traditional Chinese medicine have high medicinal value and have the potential to be developed into drugs for related diseases.

MCE can provide 878 active ingredients that can be obtained from traditional Chinese medicine with antitussive and antiasthmatic functions, which can be applied to drug development and research on disease mechanisms.

For pre-dissolved solutions, 10 mM for compounds with the solubility not lower than 10 mM, 2 mM for compounds with solubility between 2 mM and 10 mM, and 3 mg/mL for compounds with unconfirmed molecular weight and solubility not lower than 3 mg/mL.

A collection of 878 antitussive and antiasthmatic traditional Chinese medicine active compounds supplied as pre-dissolved solutions or solid
Solution: 845 compounds supplied in 10 mM solution, 29 compounds supplied in 2 mM solution, 4 compounds supplied in 3 mg/mL solution.

Layout:

96-well storage tube or 96-well plate: 1st and 12th column are left empty.
384-well plate: the first two columns and the last two columns are left empty.
Compounds with different concentrations or dissolved in different solvents will be put on separate plates. This way of layout may increase the number of plates because there could be three solvents and three concentrations.
