Description

BTLA Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His) is the recombinant cynomolgus-derived BTLA protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-His tag.

Background

BTLA is an inhibitory receptor on lymphocytes that negatively regulates antigen receptor signaling via PTPN6/SHP-1 and PTPN11/SHP-2. It can interact with TNFRSF14 either in cis (on the same cell) or in trans (on other cells). In cis interactions, BTLA appears to play an immune regulatory role by inhibiting trans interactions in naive T cells to maintain a resting state. In trans interactions, it may predominate during adaptive immune responses to provide survival signals to effector T cells.
