(±)-Dehydroaltenusin competitively inhibits the DNA template primer (Ki: 0.23 μM) and non-competitively suppresses the 2'-deoxyribonucleoside 5'-triphosphate substrate (Ki: 0.18 μM). (±)-Dehydroaltenusin induces the cancer cell S-phase cycle arrest and apoptosis. (±)-Dehydroaltenusin can be used for cancers like human adenocarcinoma research.
