Description

LAGIPRA peptide is a long-acting GIP1R agonist. LAGIPRA peptide enhances insulin sensitivity by augmenting glucose disposal and reduces branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) and ketoacids. LAGIPRA peptide has the potential for the research of type 2 diabetes[1].

In Vivo

LAGIPRA peptide (1000 nmol/kg; sc) reduces hyperglycemia in intraperitoneal glucose tolerance test experiments in Glp-1r–/– mice, but had no effect in Gipr-deficient (Gipr–/–) animals[1].
LAGIPRA peptide (300 nmol/kg; sc; once a day for 14 days) shows a small (4% reduction) effect on body weight and transient reduction (during the first 24-48 hours) in food intake, decreases fasting glucose and insulin[1].
