Description

HOE-288 is an orally active angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. HOE-288 can be used for the research of neurological disease[1].

In Vivo

HOE-288 (10 nmol I.C.V.) attenuates the Scopolamine (HY-N0296)-induced memory deficit in rats[1].
HOE-288 (10 mg/kg, i.g., daily for 1 weeks) results in a marked inhibition of CE activity in the brain cortex, the hypothalamus, and in the brainstem in rats[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
