In Vitro

Guideline (The following is our recommended protocol. This protocol is only a guideline and should be modified according to your specific needs).
1. Take fresh samples and immediately add them to Glutaraldehyde Fixative. Fix at 4°C for 1-4 hours. If the sample is thick, the fixation time can be appropriately extended.
2. Fixed samples can be tested immediately or stored at 4°C.

Note:
1. Glutaraldehyde Fixative is corrosive. Please handle in a well-ventilated environment and avoid contact and inhalation.
2. Routine samples generally require a thickness of 2-4 mm, preferably not exceeding 6 mm.
3. The volume ratio of fixative to sample tissue block should be greater than 10:1 to ensure the sample is completely immersed in the fixative.
4. Glutaraldehyde Fixative is normally colorless or light yellow. If the color deepens, it should be discarded.

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
