Description	TSPAN33 Antibody (YA4356) is a Mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG2b monoclonal antibody, targeting to TSPAN33.
Background	TSPAN33 is a member of the TspanC8 subgroup, which consists of six members that interact with the transmembrane metalloprotease ADAM10. This interaction is essential for ADAM10's exit from the endoplasmic reticulum, enzymatic maturation, trafficking to the cell surface, and substrate specificity. Different TspanC8/ADAM10 complexes exhibit distinct substrate preferences. TSPAN33 plays a critical role in normal erythropoiesis (by similar) and is involved in the differentiation of erythroid progenitors (by similar). It negatively regulates ligand-induced Notch activity, likely by modulating ADAM10 function. Additionally, TSPAN33 mediates the docking of ADAM10 to zonula adherens by interacting with ADAM10 and, in a PDZD11-dependent manner, with the zonula adherens protein PLEKHA7.
