Description	Thioredoxin Antibody (YA4612) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to Thioredoxin (TRX). It can be applicated for WB, ELISA assays.
Background	Thioredoxin is a protein involved in various redox reactions via the reversible oxidation of its active center dithiol to a disulfide, catalyzing dithiol-disulfide exchange reactions. It plays a role in the reversible S-nitrosylation of cysteine residues in target proteins, contributing to the cellular response to nitric oxide (NO)—for instance, by nitrosylating the active site Cys of CASP3 to inhibit caspase-3 activity (similar function: ADF enhances the expression of the interleukin-2 receptor TAC). Additionally, Thioredoxin induces FOS/JUN AP-1 DNA-binding activity in ionizing radiation (IR) cells through its redox status and stimulates AP-1 transcriptional activity.
