Description

SAFB1 Antibody (YA5230) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated monoclonal antibody, targeting to SAFB1. It can be applicated for WB, ICC assays, in the background of human.
Background

SAFB1 is a protein that binds to scaffold/matrix attachment region (S/MAR) DNA and serves as a molecular assembly point to facilitate the formation of a 'transcriptosomal' complex (comprising SR proteins and RNA polymerase II), thereby coupling transcription and RNA processing. It functions as an estrogen receptor corepressor and can bind to the HSP27 promoter to suppress its transcription, acting as a negative regulator of cell proliferation. Additionally, when associated with RBMX, SAFB1 binds to and stimulates transcription from the SREBF1 promoter (by similarity).
