Rad9 Antibody (YA5262) is a Mouse-derived and non-conjugated monoclonal antibody, targeting to Rad9.

RAD9A is a component of the 9-1-1 cell-cycle checkpoint response complex, playing a major role in DNA repair. The complex is recruited to DNA damage sites by the RAD17-replication factor C (RFC) clamp loader complex and acts as a sliding clamp platform, facilitating the function of proteins involved in long-patch base excision repair (LP-BER). The 9-1-1 complex enhances DNA polymerase beta (POLB) activity by increasing its affinity for the 3'-OH end of the primer-template and stabilizing POLB at LP-BER sites. It also stimulates endonuclease FEN1 cleavage activity on substrates with diverse flap structures and DNA ligase I (LIG1) function on LP-BER substrates. Additionally, the complex is required for RHNO1 recruitment to double-stranded breaks (DSB) during S phase. RAD9A exhibits 3'->5' double-stranded DNA exonuclease activity.
