Interferon alpha/beta receptor 1 Antibody (YA3833) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to IFNAR1. It can be applicated for WB, IHC-P, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse.

IFNAR1, together with IFNAR2, forms the heterodimeric receptor for type I interferons (including interferons alpha, beta, epsilon, omega, and kappa). Binding of type I interferons activates the JAK-STAT signaling cascade, leading to transcriptional activation or repression of interferon-regulated genes encoding the effectors of the interferon response. Mechanistically, interferon binding brings IFNAR1 and IFNAR2 subunits into proximity, driving their associated Janus kinases (TYK2 bound to IFNAR1 and JAK1 bound to IFNAR2) to cross-phosphorylate each other. The activated kinases phosphorylate specific tyrosine residues on the intracellular domains of IFNAR1 and IFNAR2, creating docking sites for STAT transcription factors. STAT proteins are then phosphorylated by the JAKs, promoting their nuclear translocation to regulate interferon-regulated gene expression. IFNAR1 can also function independently of IFNAR2 by forming an active IFNB1 receptor alone and activating a signaling cascade that does not involve the JAK-STAT pathway (by similarity).
