Description	EDG2 Antibody (YA3375) is a rabbit-derived non-conjugated IgG antibody (Clone NO.: YA3375), targeting EDG2, with a predicted molecular weight of 41 kDa (observed band size: 41 kDa). EDG2 Antibody (YA3375) can be used for WB, IHC-P, IP experiment in human background.
Background	EDG2 is a receptor for lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) that mediates actin cytoskeleton reorganization, cell migration, differentiation, and proliferation, contributing to responses to tissue damage and infectious agents. It activates downstream signaling cascades via G(i)/G(o), G(12)/G(13), and G(q) heterotrimeric G proteins, inhibiting adenylyl cyclase activity and reducing cellular cAMP levels (PubMed:26091040). EDG2 triggers increased cytoplasmic Ca²⁺ levels (PubMed:19656035, 19733258, 26091040) and activates RALA, leading to phospholipase C (PLC) activation and inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate production (PubMed:19306925). Similar functions include: mediating downstream MAP kinase activation (By similar); promoting lamellipodia formation at migrating cell edges via RAC1 activation (By similar); enhancing cell proliferation in response to LPA (By similar); and participating in pain perception and neuropathic pain initiation (By similar). Additionally, EDG2 suppresses the intracellular ciliogenesis pathway through AKT1 activation upon LPA stimulation (PubMed:31204173) and is involved in normal skeletal development, osteoblast differentiation, brain development, and proliferation/survival/maturation of adult dentate gyrus neurons.
