Description

CD80 Antibody (YA5496) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 monoclonal antibody, targeting to CD80. It can be applicated for FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

Background

B7-1 is a costimulatory molecule belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily and plays a crucial role in T-lymphocyte activation. It acts as the primary auxiliary signal, augmenting the MHC/TCR signal in naive T-cells alongside the constitutively expressed CD28 receptor. This interaction activates signaling pathways such as NF-kappa-B and MAPK, leading to cytokine production. Additionally, the CD28/CD80 costimulatory signal stimulates glucose metabolism and ATP synthesis in T-cells via the PI3K/Akt pathway. B7-1 also regulates PDL1/PDCD1 interactions to limit excessive PDL1 engagement and its immunosuppressive effects. Expressed on B-cells, it is critical for modulating B-cell and T-cell interactions during germinal center responses, essential for effective humoral immunity (By similarity). Furthermore, B7-1 serves as a receptor for adenovirus subgroup B (Microbial infection).

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
