C5b-9 Antibody

C5b-9 Antibody is an unconjugated, rabbit-derived, anti-C5b-9 polyclonal antibody. C5b-9 Antibody can be used for: WB, IHC-P, IHC-F, IF expriments in human, rat, and predicted: mouse background without labeling.

C5b-9 is the pore-forming component of the membrane attack complex (MAC), a multiprotein complex activated by the complement cascade that inserts into target cell membranes to form pores, causing membrane rupture and cell lysis. The MAC is initiated by proteolytic cleavage of C5 into C5b via the classical, alternative, lectin, and GZMK complement pathways. These pathways involve a protein cascade that promotes pathogen phagocytosis and degradation while enhancing adaptive immune signaling. C5b-9 serves as the pore-forming subunit of the MAC, associating with the C5b8 intermediate complex during assembly and polymerizing with C9 to complete the pore structure. by similar: MAC activation involves multiple complement pathways, and its assembly relies on C9 polymerization.

  Western blot analysis of extracts from M-Liver using C5b-9 antibody. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% nonfat powdered milk in PBST for 2 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/2000) and Loading control antibody (GAPDH, 1/3000) was diluted with 5% nonfat powdered milk in PBST at 4°C overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (1/8,000) was incubated for 45min at room temperature.
