Arginase 2 Antibody (YA2893) is a Rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG monoclonal antibody, targeting to Arginase 2.

Arginase 2 is an enzyme involved in the regulation of extra-urea cycle arginine metabolism and down-regulation of nitric oxide synthesis. It functions extrahepatically to regulate L-arginine bioavailability to nitric oxide synthase (NOS). Arginine metabolism serves as a critical regulator of innate and adaptive immune responses. The enzyme appears to negatively regulate the survival capacity of activated CD4(+) and CD8(+) T cells. In asthmatic airway epithelium, it may suppress inflammation-related signaling (By similarity: potentially contributes to H.pylori immune evasion by restricting M1 macrophage activation and polyamine metabolism). In fetal dendritic cells, it may promote immune suppression and T cell TNF-alpha production during gestation. The enzyme regulates RPS6KB1 signaling to promote endothelial cell senescence and inflammation while implicating NOS3/eNOS dysfunction, inhibits endothelial autophagy independently of its enzymatic activity via mTORC2 signaling, and participates in vascular smooth muscle cell senescence and apoptosis independently of enzymatic activity. Since NOS is present in penile corpus cavernosum smooth muscle, clitoral corpus cavernosum, and vagina, Arginase-2 plays roles in both male and female sexual arousal.
