Aquaporin 4 Antibody can be used for WB, IHC-P, IHC-F, FC, ICC/IF experiments in human, mouse, rat, pig, cow, rabbit, sheep backgrounds.
Background	Aquaporin 4 forms a water-specific channel and plays a crucial role in brain water homeostasis and glymphatic solute transport. It is essential for the normal rate of water exchange across the blood-brain interface, cerebrospinal fluid influx into the brain cortex and parenchyma along paravascular spaces surrounding penetrating arteries, and interstitial fluid drainage along paravenous pathways. Consequently, it is required for the clearance of solutes, including soluble beta-amyloid peptides derived from APP, from the brain interstitial fluid. Additionally, it has a redundant role in urinary water homeostasis and concentrating ability.
