Background	ADRM1 is an essential component of the 26S proteasome, a multiprotein complex that mediates ATP-dependent degradation of ubiquitinated proteins to maintain protein homeostasis. Functioning as a proteasomal ubiquitin receptor, ADRM1 engages and activates 19S-associated deubiquitinases UCHL5 (reversibly associated) and PSMD14 (an intrinsic lid subunit), thereby participating in diverse cellular processes including cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and DNA damage repair.
