Description	ACADM Antibody (YA3756) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to ACADM. It can be applicated for WB, IHC-P, ICC/IF, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.
Background	ACADM (medium-chain specific acyl-CoA dehydrogenase) is a key enzyme in the first step of mitochondrial fatty acid beta-oxidation, belonging to the acyl-CoA dehydrogenases family. It aerobically catalyzes the removal of hydrogen from C-2 and C-3 of straight-chain fatty acyl-CoA thioesters to form trans-2-enoyl-CoA, while transferring electrons to electron transfer flavoprotein (ETF), which subsequently delivers them to the mitochondrial respiratory chain via ETF-ubiquinone oxidoreductase. Unlike other acyl-CoA dehydrogenases, ACADM specifically targets saturated acyl-CoAs with primary chains of 6 to 12 carbons (by similar: PubMed:1970566, PubMed:21237683, PubMed:2251268, PubMed:8823175).
