In Vitro

The antibody framework is stable, specific and adaptable, and has the ability to bind both antigens and endogenous immune receptors. Monoclonal antibodies have several derivatives, including bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, and antibody fragments, and have significant effects in fields such as immunology and oncology. When designing inhibitory antibodies, considerations include identification of antigen-specific variable regions, choice of expression system, use of multispecific formats, and antibody derivatives based on fragmentation, oligomerization, or conjugation with other functional moieties[1].

In Vivo

Anti-Mouse IL-12 p35 Antibody (C18.2) (250 μg, i.p., at days 33 and 37, 2 h before the ovalbumin challenges) attenuates airway reactivity and Th2-type airway inflammation in ovalbumin-induced allergic airway inflammation mice models[1].
Anti-Mouse IL-12 p35 Antibody (C18.2) (500 μg, i.p., twice at days -1, 0, and 1 after infection) reduces the frequency and number of effector memory CD4+ T cells in both the lungs and spleens in F. tularensis live vaccine strain infected mice[2].

Animal Model: Ovalbumin-induced allergic airway inflammation mice models[1]
Dosage: 250 μg
Administration: Intraperitoneally injection, at days 33 and 37, 2 h before the ovalbumin challenges
Result: Decreased the airway hyper responsiveness and eosinophil and lymphocyte counts in the BAL fluid.
Reduced ovalbumin -specific IgG2a levels and CD3+CD4+ cells.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
