In Vitro

The antibody framework is stable, specific and adaptable, and has the ability to bind both antigens and endogenous immune receptors. Monoclonal antibodies have several derivatives, including bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, and antibody fragments, and have significant effects in fields such as immunology and oncology. When designing inhibitory antibodies, considerations include identification of antigen-specific variable regions, choice of expression system, use of multispecific formats, and antibody derivatives based on fragmentation, oligomerization, or conjugation with other functional moieties[1].

In Vivo

Anti-Mouse CD71/TfR1 Antibody (8D3) (150 μg, i.p., on days 5 and 6 after birth) enhances neonatal mice defence against infection[1].
Anti-Mouse CD71/TfR1 Antibody (8D3) (150 μg, i.p., on days 9 after birth) depletes of CD71+ erythroid cells but does not change percentages of Tregs in neonatal mice[2].

Animal Model: 8-day-old neonatal mice [1]
Dosage: 150 μg
Administration: Intraperitoneally injection at days 5 and 6 after birth
Result: Significant reduced the number of recoverable L. monocytogenes bacteria.
Significantly produced more TNF-α and upregulated expression of the co-stimulatorymolecules CD40, CD80 and CD86.
Restored neonatal resistance to E. coli infection.
Animal Model: Neonatal mice [2]
Dosage: 150 μg
Administration: Intraperitoneally injection at day 9 after birth
Result: Reduced approximately 60% of CD71+ erythroid cells in the spleen of mice.
Had no significant effects on the percentage of Tregs.
Significantly up-regulated VISTA expression in both the percentages and MFI of VISTA expression.
Upregulated Id1 and Id2 genes and produced TGF-β.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
