In Vitro

The antibody framework is stable, specific and adaptable, and has the ability to bind both antigens and endogenous immune receptors. Monoclonal antibodies have several derivatives, including bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, and antibody fragments, and have significant effects in fields such as immunology and oncology. When designing inhibitory antibodies, considerations include identification of antigen-specific variable regions, choice of expression system, use of multispecific formats, and antibody derivatives based on fragmentation, oligomerization, or conjugation with other functional moieties[1].

In Vivo

Anti-Monkey/Human CD20 Antibody (2H7) (0.25-0.5 mg/kg, i.v., 9-day period with 4 injections at 3-day intervals) is effective B cells depletion and delays the progression of diabetes in hCD20-transgenic NOD mice[1].
Anti-Monkey/Human CD20 Antibody (2H7) (200 μg, i.p., weekly) prevents or reverses myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein-induced experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) in hCD20 transgenic C57BL/6 mice[2].

Animal Model: Spontaneous diabetes mice models (hCD20-transgenic NOD mice)[1]
Dosage: 0.5 mg antibody in the first injection and 0.25 mg for the subsequent 3 injections
Administration: Intravenously injection, 9-day period with 4 injections at 3-day intervals
Result: Significantly delayed the progression of diabetes.
Showed significantly less infiltration of pancreatic islets.
Animal Model: MOG-induced experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) mice models (hCD20 transgenic C57BL/6 mice)[2]
Dosage: 200 μg
Administration: Intraperitoneally injection, weekly
Result: Depleted 60% of B cells within established CNS lesions.
Suppressed development of proinflammatory T cells and clinical EAE.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
