Background

AITRL/TNFSF18 protein, a cytokine, binds to TNFRSF18/AITR/GITR, playing a pivotal role in the regulation of T-cell responses. Functioning as a costimulator, it effectively lowers the threshold for T-cell activation and proliferation, contributing to the modulation of immune processes. AITRL/TNFSF18 is particularly significant for interactions between activated T-lymphocytes and endothelial cells, mediating the activation of NF-kappa-B and triggering increased phosphorylation of STAT1. Furthermore, it up-regulates the expression of adhesion molecules VCAM1 and ICAM1, thereby promoting leukocyte adhesion to endothelial cells. Additionally, AITRL/TNFSF18 is involved in the regulation of monocyte migration from the splenic reservoir to sites of inflammation. Existing as both a homodimer and homotrimer, AITRL/TNFSF18 showcases its versatile structural arrangements, highlighting its ability to engage in distinct molecular configurations for effective immune regulation.

Immobilized Human GITR Fc at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Biotinylated Human GITR Ligand Avi-Fc with a linear range of 4-63 ng/mL.

Reconstitution

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).

Storage & Stability

Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
