Description

PSG9 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived PSG9 protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-6*His labeled tag.

Background

Pregnant-specific beta-1-glycoprotein 9 is a member of the Pregnancy-specific glycoprotein family and is secreted by placental syncytial trophoblastic cells from the formation of the blastocyst syncytium to term. PSG9 stimulates the increase of FoxP3+ regulatory T cells through the TGF-β1 pathway. PSG is considered to be a pro-angiogenic factor that induces endodermal duct formation and VEGFA secretion in different cell types, promotes angiogenesis by stimulating VEGFA production, and is associated with poor prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma. PSG9 is involved in Wnt signaling and is dysregulated during colorectal cancer development[1][2][3].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
