Description

KCNA3 Protein, Human (HEK293) is the recombinant human-derived KCNA3, expressed by HEK293 , with tag Free labeled tag. ,

Background

KCNA3 is a voltage-gated potassium channel that opens in response to membrane potential changes, allowing potassium ion flux along their electrochemical gradient. The channel exhibits time-dependent gating with slow inactivation kinetics (By similar). It plays a crucial role in rapid repolarization of fast-spiking neurons in the brain (By similar). KCNA3 can assemble into functional homotetrameric channels or form heterotetramers with varying proportions of KCNC2 and potentially other family members (By similar), contributing to sustained high-frequency firing of brief action potentials in pallidal neurons (By similar).

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
