Hyaluronidase 2/HYAL2 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived Hyaluronidase 2/HYAL2 protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-His tag.

Background

Hyaluronidase 2 (HYAL2) protein is involved in the hydrolysis of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, generating intermediate-sized products that are subsequently processed by sperm hyaluronidase to produce small oligosaccharides. Although HYAL2 exhibits very low levels of activity, its role in the breakdown of hyaluronic acid suggests a potential contribution to the modulation of extracellular matrix dynamics. Additionally, HYAL2 associates with and negatively regulates MST1R, indicating a potential regulatory role in cellular processes mediated by MST1R.
