ASGR1/ASGPR1 Protein, Human (Biotinylated, HEK293, His-Avi)

ASGR1/ASGPR1 mediates endocytosis of desialylated glycoproteins, recognizing galactose and N-acetylgalactosamine units. Ligand binding leads to internalization and sorting organelle transport, followed by receptor return to the cell membrane. ASGR1/ASGPR1 interacts with LASS2. ASGR1/ASGPR1 Protein, Human (Biotinylated, HEK293, His-Avi) is the recombinant human-derived ASGR1/ASGPR1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-Avi, C-His labeled tag.

The ASGR1/ASGPR1 protein functions as a mediator in the endocytosis of plasma glycoproteins, particularly those from which the terminal sialic acid residue on their complex carbohydrate moieties has been removed. This receptor demonstrates recognition capabilities for terminal galactose and N-acetylgalactosamine units. Upon ligand binding to the receptor, the formed complex undergoes internalization and is transported to a sorting organelle where the receptor and ligand disassociate. Subsequently, the receptor returns to the cell membrane surface. ASGR1/ASGPR1 engages in interactions with LASS2.
