TSG101 Antibody (YA4454)

TSG101 Antibody (YA4454) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to TSG101. It can be applicated for IHC-P, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

TSG101 is a component of the ESCRT-I complex, which regulates vesicular trafficking processes. It binds to ubiquitinated cargo proteins and sorts endocytic ubiquitinated cargos into multivesicular bodies (MVBs). TSG101 mediates the association between the ESCRT-0 and ESCRT-I complexes and is required for the completion of cytokinesis, a function dependent on CEP55. It may be involved in cell growth and differentiation, acting as a negative growth regulator. By interacting with viral proteins containing a late-budding motif P-[ST]-A-P, TSG101 facilitates the budding of many viruses, which is essential for the viral particle budding of numerous retroviruses. TSG101 is also required for the exosomal release of SDCBP, CD63, and syndecan. Similarly, it may play a role in the extracellular release of microvesicles distinct from exosomes.
