RPA32/RPA2 Antibody (YA3816) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to RFA2. It can be applicated for WB, IHC-P, FC assays, in the background of human.

RFA2 is a component of the heterotrimeric replication protein A complex (RPA/RP-A) that binds and stabilizes single-stranded DNA intermediates formed during DNA replication or stress. It prevents their reannealing while recruiting and activating proteins and complexes involved in DNA metabolism, playing essential roles in DNA replication and cellular DNA damage response. Within the damage response, the RPA complex regulates DNA repair and checkpoint activation by recruiting ATRIP to activate the master regulator ATR kinase. It facilitates chromatin recruitment of double-strand break repair factors RAD51 and RAD52, as well as nucleotide excision repair proteins like XPA and XPG to damage sites. RFA2 also likely participates in base excision repair (BER) via interaction with UNG and recruits SMARCAL1/HARP for replication fork restart. Additionally, it may contribute to telomere maintenance and stimulates the 5'-3' helicase activity of BRIP1/FANCJ.
