OPG Antibody (YA4998)

OPG Antibody (YA4998) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated monoclonal antibody, targeting to OPG. It can be applicated for WB, IHC-P, ICC/IF, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

OPG acts as a decoy receptor for TNFSF11/RANKL, thereby neutralizing its function in osteoclastogenesis. It inhibits osteoclast activation and promotes osteoclast apoptosis in vitro. Bone homeostasis appears to depend on the local ratio between TNFSF11 and TNFRSF11B. Additionally, OPG may play a role in preventing arterial calcification and can act as a decoy receptor for TNFSF10/TRAIL, protecting against apoptosis. The binding of TNFSF10/TRAIL blocks the inhibition of osteoclastogenesis. by similar: OPG may be involved in protective mechanisms against apoptosis.
