ApoER2 Antibody (YA4259) is a Mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 monoclonal antibody, targeting to ApoER2.

Background

ApoER2 is a cell surface receptor that binds Reelin (RELN) and apolipoprotein E (apoE)-containing ligands. It transmits the extracellular Reelin signal to intracellular signaling by interacting with DAB1 on its cytoplasmic tail (By similarity). Reelin regulates DAB1 tyrosine phosphorylation and microtubule function in neurons through both VLDL receptor (VLDLR) and ApoER2 (By similarity). ApoER2 exhibits higher affinity for Reelin than VLDLR (By similarity), making it a crucial component of the Reelin pathway governing neuronal layering during embryonic forebrain development (By similarity). It binds endoplasmic reticulum-resident receptor-associated protein (RAP) (By similarity) and β2-glycoprotein I dimers, potentially suppressing platelet aggregation in vasculature. Highly expressed in the epididymis initial segment, it modulates functional expression of sperm maturation proteins clusterin and phospholipid hydroperoxide glutathione peroxidase (PHGPx) (By similarity). It may function as an endocytic receptor (By similarity) but is dispensable for LRP2-mediated renal SEPP1 uptake (By similarity). Together with apoE, it may indirectly suppress innate immunity by regulating myeloid-derived suppressor cell survival (By similarity). Additionally, it serves as a receptor for Semliki Forest virus (Microbial infection).
