Description

LILRB1 Antibody (YA4377) is a Mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 monoclonal antibody, targeting to LILRB1.

Background

LILRB1 is a receptor for class I MHC antigens, recognizing a broad spectrum of HLA-A, HLA-B, HLA-C, HLA-G, and HLA-F alleles. It also serves as a receptor for H301/UL18, a human cytomegalovirus class I MHC homolog, with ligand binding resulting in inhibitory signals and down-regulation of immune responses. Engagement of LILRB1 on natural killer cells or T-cells by class I MHC molecules protects target cells from lysis. Interaction with HLA-B or HLA-E inhibits FCER1A signaling and serotonin release while suppressing FCGR1A-mediated phosphorylation of cellular proteins and calcium ion mobilization. LILRB1 recognizes HLA-G in complex with B2M/beta-2 microglobulin and a nonamer self-peptide, triggering the secretion of growth-promoting factors by decidual NK cells upon interaction with the peptide-bound HLA-G-B2M complex. Additionally, it reprograms B cells toward an immune-suppressive phenotype. by similar: Interaction with HLA-G-B2M complex promotes growth factor secretion by decidual NK cells and reprograms B cells into an immune-suppressive phenotype.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
