IL16 Antibody (YA4913) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated monoclonal antibody, targeting to IL16. It can be applicated for WB, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

IL16 is a cytokine that stimulates migratory responses in CD4+ lymphocytes, monocytes, and eosinophils, while priming CD4+ T-cells for responsiveness to IL-2 and IL-15. It also induces T-lymphocyte expression of interleukin 2 receptor (IL-2R) and serves as a ligand for CD4. Additionally, IL16 may function as a scaffolding protein anchoring ion channels in the membrane. Its isoform 3 is involved in T-cell cycle progression and likely forms a transcriptional repression complex on the SKP2 gene core promoter, regulating SKP2 transcription. Furthermore, IL16 may scaffold GABPB1 (the DNA-binding subunit of the GABP transcription factor complex) and HDAC3, maintaining transcriptional repression and blocking cell cycle progression in resting T-cells.
