ID2 Antibody (YA4168) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to ID2. It can be applicated for IHC-P, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

ID2 is a transcriptional regulator lacking a basic DNA binding domain that negatively regulates basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factors by forming heterodimers and inhibiting their DNA binding and transcriptional activity. It is implicated in regulating various cellular processes, including cellular growth, senescence, differentiation, apoptosis, angiogenesis, and neoplastic transformation. ID2 inhibits skeletal muscle and cardiac myocyte differentiation and regulates the circadian clock by repressing the transcriptional activator activity of the CLOCK-BMAL1 heterodimer. Additionally, ID2 restricts the localization of CLOCK and BMAL1 to the cytoplasm and plays roles in both the input and output pathways of the circadian clock: in the input component, it modulates the magnitude of photic entrainment, while in the output component, it contributes to the regulation of various liver clock-controlled genes involved in lipid metabolism.
