Description	hnRNP C1/C2 Antibody (YA1874) is a rabbit-derived non-conjugated IgG antibody (Clone NO.: YA1874), targeting hnRNP C1/C2, with a predicted molecular weight of 34 kDa (observed band size: 40 kDa). hnRNP C1/C2 Antibody (YA1874) can be used for WB, IHC-P, ICC/IF, IP, FC experiment in human, mouse, rat background.
Background	hnRNP C1/C2 is an RNA-binding protein that binds pre-mRNA and nucleates the assembly of 40S hnRNP particles. It interacts with poly-U tracts in the 3'-UTR or 5'-UTR of mRNA, modulating the stability and translation efficiency of bound mRNA molecules. A single HNRNPC tetramer binds 230-240 nucleotides, while trimers of HNRNPC tetramers bind 700 nucleotides. This protein may play a role in the early steps of spliceosome assembly and pre-mRNA splicing. Additionally, N6-methyladenosine (m6A) can alter the local structure of mRNAs and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) through an 'm6A-switch' mechanism, facilitating HNRNPC binding and thereby regulating mRNA splicing.
