Hexokinase I Antibody (YA3853) is a Mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 monoclonal antibody, targeting to Hexokinase I.

HK1 is a hexokinase that catalyzes the phosphorylation of various hexoses (e.g., D-glucose, D-glucosamine, D-fructose, D-mannose, and 2-deoxy-D-glucose) to their corresponding hexose 6-phosphates (e.g., D-glucose 6-phosphate, D-glucosamine 6-phosphate, D-fructose 6-phosphate, D-mannose 6-phosphate, and 2-deoxy-D-glucose 6-phosphate), but it does not act on N-acetyl-D-glucosamine. By similarity: It mediates the initial step of glycolysis by phosphorylating D-glucose to D-glucose 6-phosphate. Additionally, HK1 is involved in innate immunity and inflammation, functioning as a pattern recognition receptor for bacterial peptidoglycan. When N-acetyl-D-glucosamine is released into the cytosol, it inhibits HK1's hexokinase activity and triggers its dissociation from the mitochondrial outer membrane, thereby activating the NLRP3 inflammasome.
