HIF-2 alpha Antibody (YA4453) is a Mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 monoclonal antibody, targeting to HIF-2 alpha.

HIF 2 alpha is a transcription factor involved in the induction of oxygen-regulated genes. It heterodimerizes with ARNT, and the heterodimer binds to the core DNA sequence 5'-TACGTG-3' within the hypoxia response element (HRE) of target gene promoters (by similar). It regulates vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression and appears to play a role in blood vessel and lung tubular system development, as well as potentially in the formation of the endothelium associated with the blood-brain barrier. HIF 2 alpha is a potent activator of Tie-2 tyrosine kinase expression, requiring recruitment of transcriptional coactivators such as CREBBP and likely EP300 for activation. Interaction with the redox regulatory protein APEX1 seems to activate CTAD (by similar).
