GATA4 Antibody (YA4873) is a Mouse-derived and non-conjugated monoclonal antibody, targeting to GATA4.

GATA4 is a transcriptional activator that binds to the consensus sequence 5'-AGATAG-3' and plays a key role in cardiac development and function. In cooperation with TBX5, it binds to cardiac super-enhancers to promote cardiomyocyte gene expression while downregulating endocardial and endothelial gene expression. GATA4 is involved in BMP-mediated induction of cardiac-specific gene expression and binds to BMP response element (BMPRE) DNA sequences within cardiac activating regions (By similarity). It acts as a transcriptional activator of ANF in cooperation with NKX2-5 (By similarity) and promotes cardiac myocyte enlargement. GATA4 is required during testicular development and may regulate sphingolipid signaling by controlling the expression of sphingosine-1-phosphate lyase.
