FH Antibody (YA5353)

FH Antibody (YA5353) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated monoclonal antibody, targeting to FH. It can be applicated for WB, IHC-P, ICC/IF assays, in the background of human, mouse, rat.

FH is a reversible stereospecific enzyme that catalyzes the interconversion of fumarate and L-malate. In the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, it hydrates fumarate to L-malate to facilitate energy production in the form of NADH, while also dehydrating L-malate to fumarate (by similarity). In the cytosol, fumarate metabolism participates in the urea cycle and arginine metabolism, acting as a by-product of the urea cycle and amino acid catabolism (by similarity). Additionally, FH contributes to DNA repair by promoting non-homologous end-joining (NHEJ). Upon DNA damage, it is phosphorylated by PRKDC, translocates to the nucleus, and accumulates at DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs), where it catalyzes fumarate production to inhibit KDM2B histone demethylase activity, thereby enhancing histone H3 Lys-36 dimethylation (H3K36me2).
