Fibrinogen beta chain Antibody (YA3621) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to FGB. It can be applicated for WB, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

FGB is cleaved by the protease thrombin to yield monomers that polymerize with fibrinogen alpha (FGA) and fibrinogen gamma (FGG) to form an insoluble fibrin matrix. Fibrin plays a major role in hemostasis as a primary component of blood clots. It also functions in the early stages of wound repair, stabilizing the lesion and guiding cell migration during re-epithelialization. Initially thought essential for platelet aggregation based on in vitro anticoagulated blood studies, subsequent research showed it is not absolutely required for thrombus formation in vivo. FGB enhances SELP expression in activated platelets. Maternal fibrinogen is vital for successful pregnancy. Fibrin deposition is linked to infection, protecting against IFNG-mediated hemorrhage and potentially aiding antibacterial immune responses via innate and T-cell-mediated pathways.
