Description

F2 Antibody is a Rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG polyclonal antibody, targeting to F2.
Background

F2 is a thrombin that specifically cleaves peptide bonds after Arg and Lys, converting fibrinogen to fibrin and activating coagulation factors V, VII, VIII, and XIII. In complex with thrombomodulin, it also activates protein C. It plays crucial roles in blood homeostasis, inflammation, and wound healing. Additionally, F2 activates coagulation factor XI (F11), with this activation enhanced upon contact with negatively charged surfaces. It also triggers the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines (e.g., MCP-1/CCL2 and IL8/CXCL8) in endothelial cells. by similar: Other thrombins may share similar substrate specificity and functions.
