Emerin Antibody (YA4061)

Emerin Antibody (YA4061) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to EMD. It can be applicated for IHC-P, ICC/IF, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

EMD stabilizes and promotes the formation of a nuclear actin cortical network, stimulating actin polymerization in vitro by binding and stabilizing the pointed end of growing filaments. It inhibits beta-catenin activity by preventing its nuclear accumulation via a CRM1-dependent export pathway. EMD links centrosomes to the nuclear envelope through microtubule association and is required for proper localization of non-farnesylated prelamin-A/C. Together with NEMP1, it contributes to nuclear envelope stiffness in germ cells. Additionally, EMD and BAF act as cooperative cofactors in HIV-1 infection, where EMD's association with viral DNA requires BAF and viral integrase, and the viral DNA-chromatin association depends on both BAF and EMD.
