Background

EB3 is a plus-end tracking protein (+TIP) that binds to the plus-end of microtubules and regulates the dynamics of the microtubule cytoskeleton. It promotes microtubule growth and may be involved in spindle function by stabilizing microtubules and anchoring them at centrosomes. Additionally, EB3 acts as a regulator of minus-end microtubule organization by interacting with the AKAP9-PDE4DIP complex to recruit CAMSAP2 to the Golgi apparatus, thereby tethering non-centrosomal minus-end microtubules to the Golgi, a critical step for polarized cell movement. EB3 also promotes the elongation of CAMSAP2-decorated microtubule stretches on the minus-end. by similar: These functions have been reported in multiple studies.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
