Description

CD248 Antibody (YA4508) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to CD248. It can be applicated for FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

Background

CD248 is a cell surface glycoprotein involved in various biological processes, including angiogenesis, immune response modulation, and tissue remodeling and repair. It participates in pericyte proliferation through positive modulation of the PDGF receptor signaling pathway. CD248 acts as a scaffold for factor X, triggering allosteric changes and the spatial re-alignment of factor X with the TF-factor VIIa complex, thereby enhancing coagulation activation. Additionally, CD248 modulates the insulin signaling pathway by interacting with the insulin receptor (INSR) and diminishing its autophosphorylation capacity in response to insulin. In macrophages, it regulates LPS-induced inflammatory responses by promoting the production of proinflammatory cytokines. In humans, CD248 negatively regulates T-cell proliferation compared to stromal cells, where it increases proliferation.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
