Description

BMP-4 Antibody (YA2285) is a rabbit-derived non-conjugated IgG antibody (Clone NO.: YA2285), targeting BMP4, with a predicted molecular weight of 47 kDa (observed band size: 47 kDa). BMP-4 Antibody (YA2285) can be used for WB, ICC/IF, IP experiment in human background.

Background

The BMP-4 protein is predicted to have BMP receptor binding activity and cytokine activity, playing a crucial role in various processes such as animal organ development, determination of bilateral symmetry, and embryonic morphogenesis. It is expected to be located in the extracellular region and active in the extracellular space. The expression of BMP-4 is observed in several structures, including the cardiovascular system, fin, head, inner ear, and mesoderm. In humans, this gene's orthologs have been implicated in several diseases, such as CAKUT (multiple), cleft lip, orofacial cleft 11, ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament of the spine, and otosclerosis. The human BMP4 gene serves as the orthologous counterpart to the BMP-4 protein. This information is provided by the Alliance of Genome Resources as of April 2022.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
