Actin Regulatory Protein CAPG is a calcium-sensitive protein that reversibly blocks the barbed ends of actin filaments without severing preformed filaments. It may play a crucial role in macrophage function and could regulate cytoplasmic and/or nuclear structures through potential interactions with actin. The protein also potentially possesses DNA-binding capability.
