Anti-CD2 Antibody (CB.219) is an anti-human CD2 IgG2b monoclonal antibody. Anti-CD2 Antibody (CB.219) can reduce the infiltration of T cells, macrophages, and the number of Tregs in the colon. Anti-CD2 Antibody (CB.219) can be used for research on infection and inflammation such as toxoplasma infection and colitis. The recommend isotype control of Anti-CD2 Antibody (CB.219): Mouse IgG2b kappa, Isotype Control (HY-P99982).

In Vivo

Anti-CD2 Antibody (CB.219) (200 μg, i.p., on day 0, 3 and 5) significantly reduces the number of regulatory T cells (Tregs) in human CD2 transgenic mice infected with T. gondii strain ME49[1].
Anti-CD2 Antibody (CB.219) (200 μg, i.p., once every 3 days) significantly improves survival rate and reduces inflammation in Rag1-ko mice with a colitis model[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: T. gondii strain ME49 infected human CD2 transgenic mice[1]
Dosage: 200 μg
Administration: Intraperitoneal injection (i.p.), on day 0, 3 and 5
Result: Did not affect parasite clearance or the degree of small intestinal inflammation.
Reduced the levels of IFNγ, TGFβ, and IL-6 in the small intestine and liver.
Significantly reduced the number of FoxP3+Tregs in the small intestine and liver.
Did not affect the infiltration or activation status of neutrophils, macrophages, and T cells.
Animal Model: Rag1-ko mice with a colitis model[2]
Dosage: 200 μg
Administration: Intraperitoneal injection (i.p.), once every 3 days
Result: Significantly improved survival rate and alleviated colitis symptoms in concurrent treatment group.
Reduced T cell infiltration and epithelial damage in concurrent treatment group.
Reversed colitis, improved clinical symptoms and histopathology, and reduced the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines in therapeutic treatment group.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
