Cat. No.: HY-130777A Purity: 94.0%
Handling Instructions Technical Support

AMP-PNP (Adenylyl imidodiphosphate) lithium hydrate is a non-hydrolyzable ATP analog. AMP-PNP lithium hydrate binds to ATP binding sites competely but is not hydrolyzed by enzymes, providing stable experimental conditions for studying ATP-dependent processes. AMP-PNP lithium hydrate can also be used to study enzyme activity, kinase regulation, DNA/RNA metabolism, ion channel function, and protein complex assembly.

Description

AMP-PNP (Adenylyl imidodiphosphate) lithium hydrate is a non-hydrolyzable ATP analog. AMP-PNP lithium hydrate binds to ATP binding sites competely but is not hydrolyzed by enzymes, providing stable experimental conditions for studying ATP-dependent processes. AMP-PNP lithium hydrate can also be used to study enzyme activity, kinase regulation, DNA/RNA metabolism, ion channel function, and protein complex assembly[1][2][3][4].

In Vitro

AMP-PNP lithium hydrate (100 nM-3.3 mM) competitively elutes BtuCD(EQNC)-F from ATP-agarose beads, inhibiting the ATPase activity of both wild-type and mutant BtuCD-F[1].
AMP-PNP lithium hydrate (1.9-2 mM, 0-15 min) fails to inhibit the ATP-dependent scanning process of the 5' leader sequence of eukaryotic mRNA[2].
AMP-PNP lithium hydrate (1 μM-1 mM) concentration-dependently blocked the single ATP-sensitive potassium channels (KATP channels) in the skeletal muscles of mice[4].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
